A Decree Adopted on Measures to Improve the Environmental Situation in the City of Tashkent

The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, signed on 24 November 2025, sets out a range of measures aimed at reducing air pollution, mitigating the effects of climate change, and strengthening environmental control in the city of Tashkent.
The document outlines measures to reduce dust and pollution at construction sites, enhance the cleaning of inner-city roads, tighten control over the activities of industrial enterprises, expand the environmental monitoring network, and safeguard public health.
In addition, the Decree provides for the implementation of the “Green Corridor” concept in 2026, the digitalisation of more than 700 junctions, and the development of the “Green Tashkent” master plan.
