As part of the state programme, a comprehensive study of the deep geological layers of the Ustyurt region is being carried out using modern seismic complexes acquired by Uzbekgeofizika JSC, resulting in the discovery of new hydrocarbon deposits such as Muynak, Arolboy and others.
This year, for the first time in the republic, drilling of a 7,500-metre-deep well has begun. The drilling is being conducted by Yangi Kon LLC with the involvement of leading foreign companies.
Specialists from the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology have examined the state of hydrocarbon exploration in the Ustyurt region, the methods applied, and the preparedness of enterprises for the winter season.
