At the University of Geological Sciences, a meeting on the theme “Enlightenment Against Ignorance” was organised for employees of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and its subordinate enterprises. The event was attended by I. Marupov, a representative of the Committee on Religious Affairs.
During the discussion, the dangers of religious extremism and ways to prevent it, the impact of fanaticism on society, as well as the role of enlightenment and science in countering this phenomenon were explained in detail.
Participants were provided with comprehensive information on ideological threats negatively affecting the consciousness of young people and on measures to prevent them. Practical and advisory information concerning the key qualities and aspects leading to spiritual development aroused the interest of those present.
