Executive Discipline — the Foundation of Reform

In an article published in the Yangi O‘zbekiston newspaper, the Minister of Mining Industry and Geology, Bobir Islamov, identified executive discipline as a key factor determining the success of ongoing reforms. According to the Minister, the value of any decision is judged by how effectively it is implemented in practice.
The article highlights that the ministry has introduced digital document management processes, as well as a centralised control system via the “Ijro.gov.uz” platform. Responsible staff are evaluated based on individual KPI indicators, and disciplinary measures are enforced for delayed or unfulfilled assignments.
