Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The ceremonial gathering began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Minister of Mining Industry and Geology Bobur Islamov congratulated the participants on their professional holiday and noted that in recent years large-scale reforms have been implemented aimed at modernising production capacities, expanding geological exploration activities, introducing modern technologies, and developing processing capacities.

During the speech, priority tasks were announced regarding increasing the production volumes of copper, gold, silver, and uranium by 2030, as well as plans for the wide introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into geological exploration and production processes. Particular attention was also given to investment projects being implemented at JSC NMMC, JSC AMMC, Navoiuran State Enterprise, JSC Uzmetkombinat, UzTMC JSC, and JSC Uzbekcoal.

As part of the event, in accordance with the order of the Minister of Mining Industry and Geology, an award ceremony was held for a group of employees. For many years of conscientious work, contribution to the development of the country’s industry, and dedicated service, a number of specialists were awarded departmental honours.

In their speeches, heads of enterprises, specialists, and labour veterans particularly emphasised the importance of the reforms being carried out in the country, the consistent development of the mining and metallurgical industry, and the important role of industry workers in strengthening the country’s economic potential.

At the conclusion of the event, gratitude was expressed to the participants for their dedicated work, commitment to their profession, and worthy contribution to the development of the country. It was noted that today’s achievements are the result of the joint efforts of thousands of workers, engineers, geologists, metallurgists, and industry veterans.
