On 29 April this year, a conference dedicated to the International Day of Remembrance of Earthquake Victims was held in Tashkent for the first time.
Alongside relevant ministries and agencies, representatives of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, as well as its subordinate organisations, participated in the event.
At the initiative of the United Nations General Assembly, 29 April has been declared the International Day of Remembrance of Earthquake Victims.
The proposal to establish this date was first put forward by the Head of our state on 16 March 2023 at the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Turkic States. Within the framework of these initiatives, particular attention was given to strengthening practical cooperation with specialised international structures in the field of emergency situations.
