Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the meeting, a brief report was presented on the work carried out within the ministry system in the field of anti-corruption, the results achieved, as well as measures to further accelerate these efforts and other related areas.

The Chairman of the Senate Committee noted the dynamic development of the mining and geology sector, the ongoing improvement of legislation, and the implementation of digitalisation and transformation processes in the industry.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and the Senate Committee on Judicial-Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption.

The document is aimed at advancing bilateral cooperation to a new level and provides for the early detection and prevention of corruption risks in the mining and geology sector, ensuring openness and transparency, as well as the scientific and methodological support of parliamentary oversight in the industry.
