The Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, in cooperation with the World Bank and PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), a member of the Big Four, organised a seminar dedicated to the results of the first phase of the project “Diagnostic of the Mining Industry and Roadmap for the Development of Smart Mining in the Climate Conditions of Uzbekistan”, implemented within the framework of a technical assistance grant programme.
The event was attended by representatives of the World Bank, international financial institutions, relevant ministries and agencies, as well as industry enterprises.
PwC specialists delivered a presentation on the results of the initial phase of the large-scale sector analysis. The report presented an assessment of the current situation, including production indicators and forecasts, achieved results, and priority tasks facing the sector.
During the seminar, participants also exchanged views on a number of important topics, including adopted legislative and regulatory acts, the implementation of artificial intelligence, infrastructure development, and the introduction of international standards in the industry.
