On the “Catalogue of Reference Rock Samples of Uzbekistan”

Researchers of the Petrology Laboratory of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics have compiled the Catalogue of Reference Rock Samples of Uzbekistan, comprising 1,128 pages.
As a result of scientific research and fieldwork carried out within the framework of the project, reference collections were formed on the basis of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, as well as mineral and ore samples collected from the country’s mining regions.
This catalogue will serve as an important methodological resource for the development of geological science, the enhancement of the quality of scientific research, and the training of young specialists.
