Hydrogeological Studies Are Underway in the Nurata District

A working group comprising responsible officials of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, hydrogeologist scientists, and qualified specialists has examined the possibilities of targeted diversion of mudflow waters into underground horizons and increasing water reserves in the Nurata District of Navoi Region.
In addition, during the course of the studies, a meeting was held with the Hokim of the Nurata District, A. Fayziyev, during which issues related to the effective diversion and sustainable management of mudflow waters, increasing groundwater reserves through artificial recharge areas, as well as the coordination of hydrogeological and agricultural projects in the district were discussed.
The research activities are being carried out with the aim of identifying opportunities to increase groundwater reserves through infiltration facilities, check dams, and artificial recharge areas, as well as ensuring the effective management of water resources for the needs of the local population and agriculture.
