"We are not creating a lending scheme for entrepreneurs, but a comprehensive system that supports them from their very first step through to becoming a large business. The success of every project depends not only on technology, but on the skilled workforce able to operate it," the Head of State said.
In Urgench, a career-guidance system based on German and Chinese experience has been launched, directing students toward 10 professions, including green energy, construction, nursing, agronomy and electrical engineering. This model will be extended to all regions of the republic.
The expenses of entrepreneurs who establish technical colleges or take over the management of state technical colleges to train personnel to international standards will be deductible from taxable income. The system aims to train 1 million young people in modern professions and place them in high-paying jobs.
The President outlined the key goals for moving the economy to a new stage.
"We are a nation of 40 million. To further improve people's lives, we must maintain high economic growth," the Head of State said.
This year, the target is to raise GDP above 180 billion US dollars and exports above 40 billion US dollars. To this end, entrepreneurs will be provided with every condition for creating high-paying jobs, increasing value added, and expanding external markets.
"This will mean our people no longer need to go abroad for work, and the entrepreneurs of New Uzbekistan will enter a new stage of development. I am confident that we have the strength, the opportunities and the potential to achieve this!" the Head of State said.
