Under labor legislation:
- The deadlines for wage payments are established by a collective agreement, an internal document, or an employment contract.
- Wages must be paid at least once every half-month, with the interval between payments not exceeding 16 days.
- If the wage payment date falls on a weekend or public holiday, payment is made on the preceding business day.
- The timely and full payment of wages due to an employee may not depend on other payments or their order of priority.
An employer who delays wage payments bears financial liability in the manner established by law.
