In connection with the observance of 28 April – World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the country is holding the “Occupational Safety and Health” Week from 27 April to 1 May.

As part of this week, on 28 April, an international conference titled “Let Us Ensure a Healthy Psychosocial Work Environment” was held at the “Chinabad Plaza” conference hall in Tashkent.

The conference brought together representatives of government bodies, parliament, international organizations, foreign experts, large enterprises, scientific institutions, and civil society organizations.

During the event, discussions focused on the following key areas of the labour market:

• global trends in psychosocial risks;
• national policies and institutional mechanisms;
• prevention of violence and harassment in the workplace;
• best practices and effective solutions.

Within the framework of the conference, specialists and organizations who achieved high results in the field of occupational safety and health were awarded. This contributes to the introduction of innovative approaches, strengthening attention to the human factor in workplaces, prioritizing employee health and well-being, and further advancing labour relations.

The conference served as an important platform for dialogue and exchange of experience between countries and organizations, as well as for promoting sustainable development in the field of labour.

At the conclusion of the event, proposals and recommendations were developed to improve the occupational safety system, introduce mechanisms for managing psychosocial risks, and expand international cooperation.
