With this aim, and under the auspices of the World Tourism Organization, as well as on the initiative of the Samarkand campus of the International Tourism Academy, advanced training courses for hotel and other accommodation facility staff in the areas of “Front Office” and “Housekeeping” are being held from June 22 to 24 in the Navoi region.
This training program is aimed at introducing international service standards in the hospitality industry, developing employees’ professional knowledge and skills, and further improving the quality of services provided to guests.
During the training sessions, hotel managers, administrators, reception staff, housekeepers, and other specialists are strengthening their knowledge in areas such as modern guest reception and service methods, effective communication with clients, service quality control, and preparing and managing hotel rooms in accordance with international standards.
Global experience shows that one of the most important factors in tourism development is investment in human capital. Qualified and professional personnel ensure tourist satisfaction, improve service quality, and strengthen a country’s tourism image. In this regard, such training sessions serve not only to enhance the qualifications of individual specialists but also to increase the competitiveness of the entire tourism sector.
In Uzbekistan’s ongoing tourism reforms, special attention is paid to training and retraining personnel. After all, highly qualified specialists mean quality service, and quality service leads to increased tourist flows and tourism revenues for the country.
The trainings organized in the Navoi region have become an important step toward improving the culture of hospitality, strengthening tourism infrastructure, and further enhancing Uzbekistan’s international tourism attractiveness. Improving tourism quality begins, first and foremost, with training qualified specialists.
