The right of citizens to state information is enshrined in the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The normative-legal basis of this right is formed by the following acts:

Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Law "On Mass Media";

Law "On Principles and Guarantees of Freedom of Information";

Law "On Guarantees and Freedom of Access to Information";

Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Additional Measures to Ensure the Independence of Mass Media and Develop the Activities of Information Services of State Bodies and Organizations."

These documents will serve to ensure the freedom of citizens to receive information and increase the openness of the activities of state bodies.
