On the second day of the program, participants visited historical and cultural heritage sites and became acquainted with the traditions and unique culture of Karakalpakstan. As part of the eco-marathon, environmental initiatives and greening activities were organized for the youth, aimed at fostering a responsible attitude toward the environment and drawing attention to the ecological challenges of the Aral Sea region.
A cultural program featuring folklore ensembles was also arranged for the participants, along with a demonstration of the traditional Karakalpak yurt installation process — one of the elements of ethnographic tourism reflecting the national traditions and lifestyle of the people.
At the end of the day, the youth visited the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea Region in Nukus, where they explored exhibitions dedicated to the environmental issues of the region and the preservation of the natural heritage of the Aral Sea area.
The Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan places special emphasis on the development of ecological, cultural, and ethnographic tourism, as well as on engaging young people in discovering the tourism potential of the country’s regions and promoting domestic tourism among the younger generation.
