On the first day of the program, the youth visited the pilgrimage site “Shayx Jalil Bobo,” as well as the natural landscapes of the region, which are currently considered promising destinations for ecological and educational tourism. During the visit, environmental campaigns and awareness activities were organized to promote a careful attitude toward the environment and popularize the natural heritage of the Aral Sea region among young people.
A visit was also organized to the historical monument “Chilpik” in the Amudarya district — one of the well-known cultural heritage sites of our country that attracts both domestic and international tourists. A young artists’ competition dedicated to the historical, cultural, and natural richness of the region was held at the site of the monument.
The Tourism Committee pays special attention to the development of domestic, ecological, and pilgrimage tourism, as well as to the promotion of the tourism potential of the Aral Sea region. Such initiatives help introduce young people to the unique tourism routes of Karakalpakstan, increase interest in traveling across the regions of the country, and foster environmental awareness among the younger generation.
