Meeting Held with Representatives of Norinco Group

On 13 October 2025, Minister of Mining Industry and Geology B. Islamov, together with senior officials of the ministry and the management of Uzbek Technological Metals Combine JSC, held a meeting with a delegation from Norinco Group, led by its President Ch. Defang.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for implementing new investment projects in Uzbekistan. It was noted that the country is creating favourable conditions for investment in the mining sector.
In particular, it was emphasised that the activities of Uzbek Technological Metals Combine JSC, which specialises in rare metals, provide broad opportunities for cooperation within the framework of new promising investment projects.
The head of Norinco Group positively assessed the reforms carried out in recent years in Uzbekistan’s mining and geological sectors and expressed the company’s readiness to jointly implement future projects.
