An International Scientific and Practical Conference on “Fundamental and Applied Problems of Geology, Petrology, and Metallogeny” was held

The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology R. Yusupov, Rector of the University of Geological Sciences A. Kadirkhodjaev, President of the Academy of Sciences Sh. Ayupov, and Director of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics N. Inatov.
This scientific forum brought together leading scientists of our country, foreign experts, representatives of research institutions, and young researchers. The participants highlighted the strategic importance of geology as well as the crucial role of integrating science and practical application.
At the plenary sessions, the participants discussed initiatives and projects addressing such pressing issues as the prospects for expanding the mineral resource base, the geological structure of the subsoil and modern research methods, new scientific directions in petrological and metallogenic analysis, the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in fieldwork, the scientific heritage of geologists, and the integration of contemporary research.
In the concluding part of the event, the scientific results were summarised, key conclusions from the reports were drawn, and promising areas for future cooperation were identified. A number of participants who stood out in the categories “Best Dissertation”, “Best Report”, “Best Poster”, and “Most Active Participant” received commemorative gifts.
