Representatives of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology Participate in Meeting on Sustainable Groundwater Management in Central Asia

In the city of Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan), as part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme, an international round table on “Sustainable Groundwater Management in Central Asia” was held, organised on the initiative of the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the State Institution “Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology.”
The round table discussed pressing issues related to the rational use of groundwater in Central Asian countries, its protection, and ensuring sustainable management.
