Meeting with representatives of KIGAM

A meeting was held between the First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan O. Nasritdinkhodjayev, the Minister’s Advisor B. Normatov, representatives of the Ministry, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and the project contractor (PMC) — the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) — as part of the project “Establishment of an Integrated System for Managing Mineral Resources and Geological Risks in Uzbekistan”.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current implementation of the project’s second component — the development of a geological database.
The parties also agreed to identify a pilot region for the project, launch its implementation through data exchange for this region, and subsequently expand the project in stages to cover the entire territory of Uzbekistan.
