Meeting with the Presidential Advisor on Economic Development, Effective Governance and International Cooperation

On 31 July 2025, the Minister of Mining Industry and Geology, B. Islamov, held a meeting with a delegation led by the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, S. Chakrabarti.
During the meeting, the guests were briefed on the ongoing reforms and future plans in the sector. In particular, discussions focused on the work being carried out within the framework of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI).
The parties also considered the Ministry’s potential alignment with Uzbekistan’s transparency initiatives in the extractive industries and exchanged views on the necessary measures and reforms in this regard.
