By Resolution No. 467 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 26 July 2025, new regulations have been approved aimed at improving the procedure for managing the national subsoil fund and enhancing the transparency of geological exploration activities in the country.
According to the document, information related to the national subsoil fund will be maintained by the State Institution "Centre for Subsoil Use" under the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology. It is established that the fund will include a cadastre and information resources connected to the geological study of subsoil.
Two key provisions have been adopted: the procedure for state registration of geological works carried out by legal entities and individuals, and the procedure for maintaining the cadastre of the subsoil fund. Both provisions foresee the use of the "Geomonitoring" information system, integrated with the State Tax Committee's system to ensure fast and efficient online data exchange.
The implementation of these measures is expected to strengthen control over subsoil use, increase the efficiency of geomonitoring, and establish a unified digital platform for storing and analysing geological data.
