Practical work has begun on extracting valuable components from mining industry waste.

Representatives and specialists from the University of Geological Sciences, the State Institution "IMR", and “Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex” JSC conducted a working visit to the Navoi region, where they discussed the study of technogenic waste with experts from Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company (NMMC), using scientifically grounded technologies.
As part of the programme, a field visit was made to the tailing dumps of the 3rd Hydrometallurgical Plant (3-GMZ) together with NMMC specialists, during which drilling and sampling activities were discussed and planned within the framework of the project.
