On the First Day of the Minex Central Asia 2025 International Forum

On 24 June 2025, the international forum Minex Central Asia 2025 commenced its work at the Hilton Hotel, Tashkent City complex.

At the official opening ceremony, First Deputy Minister O. Nasritdinkhodjaev congratulated the participants on their involvement in such a major international event and, in his welcome address, spoke about the significant attention being paid to the sector in Uzbekistan, the large-scale reforms being carried out, and the attraction of investments into promising projects.

During the session on “Regional Cooperation and Strategic Partnership for the Formation of Critical Minerals Ecosystems”, Deputy Minister U. Yusupov delivered a presentation on the projects being implemented and the work being carried out in the mining industry and geology.

On the first day of the forum, industry representatives, experts, company specialists, and other participants also exchanged views during panel sessions on topics such as: “Strengthening Uzbekistan’s Leadership in Global Critical Mineral Supply Chains”, “Building an Investment-Attractive Structure for Strategic Partnerships”, and “Establishing Sustainable Value Chains for Metals and Minerals – New Opportunities”.

The forum’s events saw the active participation of leaders and responsible representatives of such subordinate enterprises of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology as NMMC JSC, Almalyk MMC JSC, Navoiuran SE, Uzbekgeophysics JSC, the University of Geological Sciences, UzTMC JSC, and others, who gave presentations and contributed to panel session discussions.
