On the eve of the national holiday Navruz, the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, as well as subordinate enterprises organize various cultural events, concerts, sports competitions and festivities with the preparation of sumalyak.
On March 20, competitions on national folk games were organized at the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology. Employees of the central office competed in individual disciplines - playing langa and lifting weights, as well as in team competition in tug-of-war.
U.Jabbarov became the winner in lifting weights, H.Sharipov and M.Yigitaliev took 2-3 places respectively. In the lyanga competition, first place was awarded to O. Mamatkulov, second place to Sh. Alimov, and third place to K. Shukurzhanov.
In team tug-of-war competitions the team “Squids” took 1st place, the team “Metallurgists+Geologist” - 2nd place, and the team “4+1” - 3rd place. The winners received memorable gifts from the ministry's trade union.
