Employees of the Glacial Geology Centre explored unexplored glaciers of the Ahangaran basin

The unexplored glaciers of the Ahangaran basin were studied by the staff of the Glacial Geology Centre of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the University of Geological Sciences.
In total there are 9 glaciers in the basin, the total area of which is F=0.63 km². The area of the glacier on the image F=0.25 km², length L=750m, glacier volume W=8,500,000 cubic metres.
Since the glaciers of this basin had not been studied before, their names did not exist. The staff of the Centre recorded morphological indicators of the glaciers and named them according to the area where they were formed.
