NASA Delegation Visits the University of Geological Sciences

As part of a visit by a delegation led by renowned American aerospace engineer and head of several major NASA space missions Nagin Cox, a scientific and educational lecture entitled “Dare to Dream: Mission to Mars” was held at the University of Geological Sciences, along with a meeting devoted to science, technology and engineering disciplines (STEM).

The event was also attended by Education Co-ordinator Daniya Hasanova, diplomat Anna Balogh, representatives of the US Embassy, the university’s leadership, faculty members, students, and staff of research institutes.
During the meeting, participants discussed space exploration, missions to Mars, modern engineering achievements, as well as ways to encourage broader youth engagement in science and innovation. In her presentation, Nagin Cox noted that more than 400 scientists, including geology specialists, are involved in Mars research, and shared information about the rockets and robotic missions that NASA has sent to the Red Planet over the years.
