Meeting with the Delegation of SLB

The Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, B. Islamov, together with responsible officials of the Ministry, held a meeting with a delegation of SLB (Schlumberger Limited) led by the President for the Asia–Pacific region, Sherif Shodi.
During the meeting, issues related to the development of cooperation in the mining industry and geology were discussed, including the digitalisation of geological data and the introduction of modern technologies. Particular attention was given to the company’s participation in the transformation of JSC “Uzbekgeofizika”.
The prospects for the company’s participation in the GEOMIN 2026 International Conference, which will take place in September 2026 in Tashkent, were also considered.
The parties emphasised their interest in further expanding cooperation and implementing promising joint projects aimed at improving the efficiency of the sector.
