Results of 2025 and Priority Objectives and Plans for 2026 Discussed at the State Institution “Uzbekhydrogeology”

During the meeting, which was attended by the Head of Department of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, N. Pulatov, and the management of the State Institution “Uzbekhydrogeology”, it was noted that, as a result of the identification of groundwater reserves amounting to 180 thousand m³ per day over the past year, access to drinking water was improved for 670 thousand people, and irrigation of 50 thousand hectares of agricultural land was substantiated.
In the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a number of instructions and tasks were set for the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology in the field of water resources and groundwater, including ensuring water supply to mahallas with difficult conditions and social infrastructure facilities, expanding the coverage of water-saving technologies to 2.6 million hectares, creating a water microclimate through the supply of water to urban irrigation canals, expanding value-added chains, attracting investment to the sector, as well as accelerating the development of IT services, the introduction of artificial intelligence, and digitalisation processes.
