Land areas damaged as a result of mineral extraction have been restored for use

By Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-16 dated 30 January 2025, “On the State Programme for the Implementation of the ‘Uzbekistan – 2030’ Strategy in the Year of Environmental Protection and the Green Economy”, the task was set to carry out land reclamation of areas damaged as a result of mineral extraction.
Relevant measures were taken to organise and ensure the timely reclamation of land damaged as a result of subsoil use and to restore its fertility.
As of 29 December 2025, reclamation works were fully carried out across all regions of the republic on an area of 2,085 hectares (100.4%) in accordance with the установленный procedure, and measures to ensure the environmental stability of these territories were completed.
