Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the meeting, the foreign delegation presented detailed information about the organisation’s activities, the stages and advantages of implementing EITI standards, and highlighted the relevance of Uzbekistan’s membership in the EITI within the framework of ongoing reforms.

The leadership of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology provided information on the reforms implemented in the sector in recent years, in particular work on improving the legislative framework, enhancing transparency, attracting major investments by improving the investment climate, and introducing environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.

As part of the visit, the EITI delegation will hold a series of meetings with representatives of other ministries and agencies.
