On 20 November 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Challenges in Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology and Geoecology and Ways to Address Them” commenced its work. The event is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the State Institution “Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology”.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology R. Yusupov, Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis N. Umarov, Vice-Rector of the University of Geological Sciences O. Kodirov, and Director of the State Institution “GIDROINGEO Institute” G. Bimurzayev.
Representatives of research institutes, universities and other organisations from Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries are taking part in the conference, delivering reports and presentations.
