The event was attended by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, as well as prominent public and government figures, writers and poets, representatives of culture and art, community leaders, scholars, students, pupils, the general public, and media representatives.
So far, in the same Symposium Hall of the “Ma’rifat markazi” in Tashkent, there have been creative and educational evenings with the participation of Uzbekistan’s National Hero and folk artist Munojat Yo‘lchiyeva, the folk artist Jenisbek Piyazov, the folk artist Abduhoshim Ismoilov, as well as creative evenings of the Maqam Ensemble named after Yunus Rajabiy and concerts like “Mumtoz navolar” prepared by the teachers and students of the Uzbekistan National Music Art Institute named after Yunus Rajabiy. In recent years, under the initiative of our president, important steps have been taken to promote the art of bakhshi (epic singers) and spread it worldwide. Artists involved in this field are supported by the state, with adequate conditions created for them.
Special attention is being given to promoting bakhshi art, studying its scientific and theoretical aspects, and organizing the International Bakhshi Art Festival, which has become a tradition.
There are also significant reforms aimed at passing on this art to the younger generation and continuing the master-apprentice tradition.
In particular, following the 2019 decree of the President regarding the "Measures to Further Develop Bakhshi Art," the Republican Bakhshi Art Center was established.
During the musical evening, the bakhshis performed selections from numerous beautiful historical epics.
The creative and educational evening at the “Ma’rifat markazi” Symposium Hall was held in a joyful atmosphere.
