Familiarisation trek promotes active and adventure tourism in the Parkent mountains

As part of this cooperation, on 18 October 2026, the Tourism Committee organised a trekking expedition in the scenic mountains of Parkent District, Tashkent Region, as part of the second phase of the project. Participants included faculty members, students and staff from leading international universities in the capital: Webster University, the Management Development Institute of Singapore and Westminster International University in Tashkent.
The project aims to enhance young people’s practical knowledge of adventure and mountain tourism, familiarise them with the country’s natural tourism potential and contribute to training qualified professionals for the tourism industry.
During the familiarisation trek, participants explored the region’s natural attractions, the prospects for mountain tourism development and existing trekking routes. Tourism Committee specialists also provided practical briefings on mountain travel procedures and essential safety measures.
