Second stage of the “Uzbek Gift Contest” gets underway

The contest aims to promote national handicraft products as modern tourist souvenirs, support the creative potential of regional artisans, and create compact, high-quality and affordable souvenirs for travellers.
The second stage of the contest is being held among artisans. Participants will be introduced to the 10 best designs and sketches selected as winners of the first stage. Each participant will then choose one of the presented designs and create a practical souvenir product based on it.
Artisans may refine the selected design in accordance with the specific features of their craft and incorporate their own creative ideas.
To participate, applicants must register through the online platform. Finished products must be submitted to the territorial offices of the “Hunarmand” Association by 10 November this year.
Ten best products will be selected from the submitted works and named winners of the second stage. Each winner will receive a cash prize of UZS 20 million.
The winning souvenir products will be presented to tourism industry representatives for further promotion and arrangements for their mass production.
