Uzbekistan’s tourism opportunities to be showcased to Georgian audiences

From 11 to 18 August, the Tourism Committee organized a press tour for the television crew covering Tashkent city, Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent Regions. The programme focuses on Uzbekistan’s cultural and historical heritage, gastronomy, mountain recreation, as well as its modern hotel and tourism infrastructure. In Samarkand, the journalists also covered the First Uzbek-Georgian Tourism Forum.
Exploring Uzbekistan through its regions will give Georgian audiences an opportunity to discover the country in all its diversity — from ancient cities, traditions and national cuisine to modern resorts and new forms of recreation.
The media project is expected to create additional opportunities to promote Uzbekistan in the Georgian market, raise awareness of its diverse tourism offerings and encourage more Georgian travellers to visit the country.
