Meeting held with international consultants on the development of regional master plans

A. Akkulov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with a team of international consultants developing territorial and spatial development plans and master plans for Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions. The meeting focused on the tourism potential of the regions and tourism facilities planned as part of these master plans.
The meeting was held within the framework of projects being implemented with the participation of the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). As part of the project, relevant plans are being developed for Gallaorol, Zafarabad, and Bakhmal districts of Jizzakh Region, as well as Syrdarya and Sardoba districts of Syrdarya Region. A team of consultants from companies in South Korea and Malaysia has been engaged in the project.
A. Akkulov provided the consultants with information on the tourism potential of the respective regions and the tourism facilities planned for development.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to jointly develop the master plans and continue cooperation.
