“EURONEWS” to showcase Surkhandarya’s unique nature and ecotourism potential to the world

The filming is taking place in the Kattakum semi-desert, located along the route from Termez International Airport towards the Kumkurgan District. The area is distinguished by its unique natural environment. Various plants, including saxaul, juzgun, and chizgen, grow here in their natural habitat, having adapted to high temperatures and an arid climate.
In addition, the television crew filmed in an intensive apple orchard in Kumkurgan District, as well as in almond orchards covering 1,800 hectares in Jarkurgan District. The programme will highlight agricultural reforms being implemented in the region, experience in cultivating export-oriented products, and modern horticultural technologies.
Through this upcoming television project, an international audience will have the opportunity to discover the unique nature of Surkhandarya Region, its tourism potential, agricultural opportunities, and investment appeal.
A special programme dedicated to Surkhandarya Region will air on EURONEWS in August.
