Specifically, when hotels operating under the simplified 6% VAT regime issued e-invoices for accommodation services, the system generated the error message "The exemption amount is incorrect" during calculations related to the tourist tax, preventing the invoices from being sent to counterparties.

The issue was reviewed jointly by the Tourism Committee and the Tax Committee, and the technical malfunction in the electronic system has now been resolved.

Accommodation providers can now issue electronic invoices for accommodation services in accordance with the established procedure, including the correct calculation and reporting of the 6% VAT charged on the amount of the tourist tax, and send them to their counterparties.

If any electronic invoices could not be sent previously due to this technical issue, accommodation providers are advised to generate them again and forward them to the relevant counterparties.

Entrepreneurs and representatives of accommodation providers are hereby informed that electronic invoices can now be issued in accordance with the established procedures.
