New tourism development opportunities showcased on the shores of lake Aydarkul

The prestigious event was jointly organized by the Jizzakh Regional Administration, the Tourism Committee, the Ministry of Culture, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as the regional administrations and the Tashkent City Administration.
The primary objective of the Jizzakh Open Air – 2026 International Tourism Festival was to promote the Jizzakh Region as a modern tourism destination of national and international significance, while showcasing its rich natural resources, national gastronomy, and beach tourism opportunities. At the same time, the festival was conceived as a comprehensive initiative aimed at stimulating regional economic activity and fostering tourism development in combination with the sports industry.
As part of the festival, exhibition pavilions representing the cultural heritage and culinary traditions of all regions of Uzbekistan were organized. Visitors had the opportunity to experience traditional cuisine, handicrafts, and cultural performances highlighting the unique identity of each region of the country.
One of the festival’s key highlights was the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship, organized in accordance with international standards and featuring national teams from several countries. In addition, sports enthusiasts enjoyed competitions in mini-football, beach tennis, and a variety of water sports.
A vibrant cultural and entertainment program also formed an integral part of the festival. Evening events included concerts by popular performers and folk ensembles, as well as DJ sets and spectacular entertainment shows for young audiences.
At the same time, special familiarization tours were organized for domestic and international tour operators, media representatives, and bloggers, contributing to the festival’s broad international promotion.
The festival also offered a wide range of outdoor and adventure activities. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy hot air balloon flights over Lake Aydarkul, ride quad bikes, horses, and camels, as well as experience paragliding and kayaking.
The festival concluded with a spectacular fireworks display. Thousands of participants enjoyed the vibrant show, live musical performances, and festive atmosphere, making it one of the most memorable events of the summer.
The Jizzakh Open Air – 2026 International Tourism Festival serves not only as a major cultural and sporting event but also as an important international platform for showcasing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential. The festival is expected to enhance the investment attractiveness of the Jizzakh Region, create new employment opportunities, support the development of the service sector, and further strengthen the region’s international image.
