Uzbekistan and Israel strengthen cooperation in tourism

A meeting was held between Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Gideon Lustig, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, particular attention was given to the development of pilgrimage, medical, and ecotourism, the exchange of experience in improving tourism infrastructure, and the implementation of joint projects aimed at increasing the mutual flow of tourists between the two countries.
The Israeli side also proposed the joint development of ecological tourism routes (eco-trails) and suggested exploring the possibility of launching direct flights operated by Israeli airlines to cities in Uzbekistan.
