A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee, A. Akkulov, is participating in the international exhibition. In addition, this prestigious event has brought together around one thousand major companies and organizations from more than 85 countries specializing in tourism, gastronomy, logistics, tourism technologies, as well as international experts.
As part of the event, Chairman of the Tourism Committee A. Akkulov held negotiations with Xu Weiwei, CEO of one of China’s largest tourism companies, Shanghai Jinjiang Travel Holdings, as well as with Sophia Shao, CEO of Spring Travel — China’s first private travel company, which is now regarded as one of the country’s most advanced and exemplary tourism organizations. The discussions focused on expanding the attraction of Chinese tourists to Uzbekistan.
This year, the “ITB China” exhibition is focused on four key areas: premium travel, the development of international cruise routes, ecotourism and sports tourism, and educational tourism. Existing resources and new opportunities in these segments are being presented within the framework of the exhibition.
More than 20 tourism service providers from around the world are expected to participate in the exhibition, while over 38,800 cooperation meetings are scheduled to take place among participants.
Uzbekistan’s participation in the exhibition provides an important opportunity to promote the country’s tourism potential among leading Chinese tour operators, online platforms, investors, and airline representatives, and is expected to contribute to increasing tourist flows from China.
Participation in “ITB China” will also strengthen B2B cooperation between Uzbek and international tourism companies. Uzbekistan’s cultural, gastronomic, and MICE tourism opportunities are being showcased, which will positively influence the country’s image as a promising destination in the Asian market.
During the exhibition, the Uzbek delegation also plans to hold a series of negotiations aimed at increasing the number of premium-segment tourists visiting the country and expanding the activities of international companies in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector.
