The XIII International Folklore Festival “Boysun Bahori” has kicked off in Surkhandarya

As part of the festival, a press conference was held where detailed information was provided about the significance of the event, its international status, and the ongoing efforts to preserve and promote national cultural heritage.
Details were also provided on the festival’s high-level organization, the conditions created for guests, and the safety measures in place. Journalists had all their questions answered.
The “Boysun Bahori” festival will continue until May 7. Throughout the week, national melodies, sporting competitions, and performances by creative groups will showcase Uzbekistan’s rich intangible cultural heritage to the world.
The festival’s international competition features 16 folklore groups from Uzbekistan, as well as more than 10 groups and solo performers from countries such as the United Kingdom, Belgium, Indonesia, Hungary, Slovakia, Greece, Japan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. Their performances are being evaluated by a distinguished international jury.
The winners of the competition will be awarded special statuettes, diplomas, and commemorative gifts.
