Yangijoy mahalla granted “Tourist Village” status

The Tourism Committee has officially granted the Yangijoy mahalla of the Samarkand district the status of a “tourist village.”
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee S. Bobokalonov, representatives of regional and district khokimiyats (local administrations), community activists, and members of the public. Speakers emphasized that this status holds significant importance for the development of the area’s tourism potential.
Entrepreneurs operating in Yangijoy, including organizers of recreation areas, also took part in the event. They shared their views on existing challenges, available opportunities, and future plans.
It is expected that granting this status will contribute to further growth of the region’s tourism potential, the creation of new jobs, and the development of local infrastructure.
