The Secretary-General sampled each dish with great interest, noting their unique flavors and the time-honored methods of preparation passed down through generations.
The cultural program was further enriched by performances from local folklore groups. Shaikha Al Nowais attentively watched traditional dances and listened to national music, expressing deep respect for the culture and traditions of Uzbekistan.
The Secretary-General put forward an initiative to promote Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage and traditions on the international stage with the support of UN Tourism. This initiative envisions expanding cooperation with international organizations and drawing global attention to the country’s unique historical and cultural wealth.
An important part of the visit was dedicated to exploring Zaamin’s natural attractions. The Secretary-General took a cable car ride offering breathtaking panoramic views of the region’s mountainous landscapes and lush greenery. She highlighted their uniqueness and strong potential for the development of eco-tourism.
The excursion continued with a walk across a suspension bridge, which became both a symbolic and memorable highlight of the visit. The Secretary-General crossed the bridge, enjoying the scenic views and sharing her impressions.
Members of the delegation were also deeply impressed by what they saw and actively shared their experiences on social media, encouraging online audiences to visit Uzbekistan.
