Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Bobokalonov, Rector of the Tashkent State University of Economics T. Teshabayev, the university administration, faculty members, and students.

During the event, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee S. Bobokalonov delivered a speech in which he spoke about the profound transformations currently taking place in the tourism sector, modern trends in the global tourism market, and the new tasks facing specialists in the industry. Information was also presented on training competitive personnel, effectively organizing student internships, assisting with youth employment, broadly involving young people in entrepreneurial activities, and developing innovative student projects and implementing them in practice. In addition, special attention was given to cooperation between the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent State University of Economics, as well as joint initiatives aimed at strengthening students’ practical knowledge and skills.

Following the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent State University of Economics aimed at further developing collaboration.

It was noted that this cooperation will contribute in the future to the training of qualified specialists in the tourism sector, the implementation of scientific and practical projects, and the promotion of youth employment.
