The first stop of the visit was the city of Khanabad. There, the delegation reviewed the construction progress of the “Khanabad Pearl” tourism complex and discussed the creation of modern infrastructure, as well as the expansion of recreational and entertainment services. The activities of the “Khontog” recreation area were also analyzed, and recommendations were provided to ensure more effective use of existing potential, improve service quality, and increase the flow of both foreign and domestic tourists. During the visit to the Khanabad border customs post, issues related to creating more comfortable conditions for tourists and simplifying clearance procedures were also considered.
On the same day, an inspection was conducted of the "Artificial Lake" project under construction in the Kampirrovot mahalla, the wellness trails in the Xontoga foothills, the Kutayba ibn Muslim pilgrimage site in the Jalal-Kuduk district, the project to create a recreation area along the Andijansay River, and the Imam-Ota tourist zone in the Khojaabad district.
In Bulakbashi District, discussions focused on the comprehensive development of the Shirmonbuloq tourism zone, considered the hallmark of the district. The Chairman of the Committee also reviewed the “Bobur” city project in Andijan District, the “Qal’a” complex in Andijan city, and the operation of 24/7 tourist streets on Sariquy and Urikzor.
Additionally, the delegation visited the handicraft ethnographic zone — Torbozor Street — located in the Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur mahalla in Andijan city. In Bustan District, eco-tourism projects within the Andijan forestry area were studied. In Markhamat District, discussions were held on developing and enhancing the tourist appeal of the Mingtepa archaeological site.
The Chairman gave a number of instructions to improve infrastructure, develop road and utility networks, and expand hotel operations — particularly family guest houses — enhance service quality, attract investment, and support new entrepreneurs.
Following the visit, it was decided to develop a “Roadmap” aimed at further increasing the region’s tourism potential and accelerating the implementation of investment projects.
