The village of “Uba” in the Romitan district has been officially granted the status of a “tourist village”

The event was attended by the leadership of the Tourism Committee, representatives of the Romitan district khokimiyat, the Tourism Department of Bukhara region, entrepreneurs working in the tourism sector, local residents, and the general public.
During the ceremony, special attention was given to the development of the tourism industry in the country, reforms aimed at improving tourism infrastructure, and opportunities to enhance the economic attractiveness of regions through the creation of tourist villages.
As part of the event, the Tourism Committee formally presented a certificate granting the village of “Uba” the status of a “tourist village.”
The opening program of “Uba” also featured the domestic tourism fair “Travel Around Uzbekistan!”. The fair included B2B meetings between local tour operators and representatives of relevant organizations, resulting in agreements on the development of domestic tourism in 2026.
In addition, an informational tour was organized for tourism sector representatives to the “Khoja Ali Romitaniy” complex, the “Boboi Matjon” ensemble, the “Bukhara Desert Oasis & SPA” tourist cluster, as well as to family guest houses, artisans’ homes, souvenir shops, and other attractions of the tourist village. The event also included cultural and sports activities.
