Today, on February 27, a working group led by Deputy Minister Yusufjon Usmonov reviewed the activities of several cultural institutions in Andijan region.
In particular, the Deputy Minister and members of the working group visited the dormitory of the Andijan Regional Musical Drama Theater to assess its current conditions. During the inspection, it was noted that the dormitory is in need of renovation. Consequently, relevant measures were outlined to ensure the effective operation of the dormitory in the future. Additionally, discussions were held with proactive entrepreneurs regarding the renovation of the theater dormitory and its efficient future operation.
The working group also examined the ongoing construction and renovation work at the Culture Center No. 38 in Izboskan district. A meeting was held with representatives of the district administration, during which an agreement was reached to complete the renovation and fully commission the center by the end of March this year.
The condition of the specialized music boarding school No. 7 in Andijan district was also assessed by the Deputy Minister and the working group. A proposal was made to include the construction of a new 400-seat academic building for the school and the renovation of its dormitory in the 2026 social and industrial infrastructure development program.
Additionally, a concert program was held at the Andijan Regional Musical Drama Theater by the exemplary maqom ensemble of the Babur-named Osh State Uzbek Academic Musical Drama Theater of the Kyrgyz Republic.
